CIRCULAR BRIDAL WEAR
BUSINESS MODEL DEVELOPMENT PROJECT
This project presents a theoretical concept for a sustainable bridal and occasion wear brand designed with circularity in mind. The idea revolves around providing responsibly produced dresses, available for sale or rent, providing an eco-conscious alternative for special occasions. After use, the dresses would be collected for cleaning, repair, or upcycling, allowing them to be resold or rented again. When no longer reusable, the materials would be recycled to produce fabric for new designs, reducing waste.
The project’s mission is to envision a model that offers women empowering, beautiful outfits aligned with their values without compromising their special day experience. By promoting circular fashion, this concept aims to provide a more responsible alternative to traditional occasion wear while fostering creativity and opening up new avenues for how fashion can be experienced and enjoyed.
This project was inspired by an earlier attempt to launch a bridal wear brand, where the wastefulness of the traditional business model became evident. This realization led to the exploration of a circular approach, focusing on creating a more sustainable and thoughtful solution for bridal and occasion wear, though the project remains theoretical rather than an active business venture.
